Your Voice Matters: Shape the Future of Indianapolis Trails

Indianapolis is eager to gather community insights as it continues to develop its network of trails and greenways, which has expanded significantly from 63 miles in 2014 to over 90 miles today. The city's ambitious plan includes an additional 30 miles of trails projected to open by 2028, and residents have the opportunity to contribute to this vision.

Among the seven new trails proposed are

• Little Eagle Creek Greenway : This trail aims to link the B&O Trail in Speedway with the Northtown Trail, facilitating access to important communities and parks on the city's west side, such as Speedway and the International Marketplace.
• Crooked Creek Getaway : Connecting the White River Greenway and the Canal Towpath, this trail will reach the northern edge of Marion County while also linking several parks, including WISH Park, Juan Solomon Park, and Fox Hill Manor Park.
• Northeast Connector : Stretching from the Fall Creek Greenway to an extended Pleasant Run Greenway, this route is designed to enhance connectivity in the area.
• Warren Link : This trail will bridge the Pogue’s Run and Pleasant Run greenways to the Grassy Creek Greenway, catering to residents on the far east side.
• Franklin Spoke : Connecting Pleasant Run Greenway to the future Buck Creek Greenway near Acton Park, this trail will also serve to link Beech Grove with Franklin Township.
• German Market Trail : Designed to connect Pleasant Run Greenway with the Little Buck Creek Greenway, this route will enhance local access.
• Crosstown Connector : This important pathway will facilitate travel from the Eagle Creek Greenway on the west to Grassy Creek Park on the east, serving as a crucial east-west corridor for Indianapolis.

The city is additionally considering the extension of several existing greenways to further improve the connectivity of the trail network.
